This week’s lesson – Unity in Worship

“Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth— to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water’ ” (Revelation 14:67, NKJV).

There are various ways to look at “Unity in Worship” in the context of our worship today.  One way is to make the distinction between our view of worship in our church and they view of worship in the Christian church at large in light of Rev 14.  Another way is to look at the style of worship within our churches in comparison to other churches and various other styles from traditional to modern.  There remains a frustration by some church members about any inclusion of modern styles into our otherwise traditional church services.  The way we coexist is what we must explore as a church.  Our guide must be God’s Word.

Read about it, think about it, and let’s discuss it this coming Sabbath.
